The Director, International Tax performs tax planning analysis and research, makes recommendations to minimize tax liability and tax risk, monitors national and international tax environment with a focus on OECD BEPS Pillar Two initiatives and ensure compliance with local tax law in alignment with internal stakeholders. This director also ensures department alignment and coordination with all other areas of the company to achieve corporate business strategies and vision.

What You Will Do
$104,350.00 - $155,350.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. What You Will Do
- Monitor OECD BEPS Pillar Two initiatives in jurisdictions in which the Company operates.
- Collaborate with Global Tax, Global Finance, Global Valuation, IT, and external advisors to execute implementation and local country compliance with Pillar Two.
- Review quarterly tax provision and annual return compliance calculations with respect to Pillar Two, Bermuda corporate income tax and/or other regimes as needed.
- Develop compliance and internal control procedures for new global tax regimes, including Pillar Two and Bermuda corporate income tax
- Proactively identify and communicate process improvements, including those requiring advanced used of technology.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local consultants and local RGA associates.
- Perform tax research, analysis of tax issues, and modeling to determine tax impact and make recommendations.
- Work closely with the VP of International Tax Special Projects to support corporate projects such as acquisitions, new business ventures, sales and other opportunities.
- Assist with the review of tax returns and other compliance activities pertaining to RGA’s international operations, working closely and effectively with other team members with this area of responsibility.
- Lead and manage work area activities including, but not limited to, team/department workflow, establishing and monitoring quality goals, reviewing work, ensuring timeliness and quality of tax preparation and reports and communication to associates and management.
- Perform other responsibilities which may include Public CbCR, ESG, tax controversy/audit support, or other compliance duties.
- Foster a positive and engaged work environment. Mentors associates and gives guidance on associate development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or equivalent experience
- 8 years tax experience
- 4 years international tax experience
- 5 years supervisory or management experience
- Basic Word and advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced knowledge of broad business practices.
- Advanced tax research and analytical skills.
- Intermediate tax accounting skills.
- Advanced project management skills.
- Advanced skills in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Advanced skills in developing models to solve complex problems.
