Reporting to the VP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Specialist, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization and among RGA’s community partners. This role involves collaborating with various HR departments to integrate DEI across the talent lifecycle and to promote a culture of inclusivity and belonging. The individual in this role will work across a matrixed environment supporting our global diversity efforts through reginal councils, employee resource groups, HR teams and the business. They will provide general support and guidance to help the DEI and HR teams implement initiatives that ensure we maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. - Assist in DEI Program Development Support the creation and execution of DEI programs and initiatives that align with the DEI strategy and aspirations.
- Training and Workshops Help organize and facilitate DEI training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels..
- Communication Contribute to the development and distribution of DEI-related communications, including newsletters, reports, and updates.
- Enable Strong Execution of DEI Initiatives Work with relevant internal groups (regional councils, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, etc.) to implement DEI priorities as related to overall strategy, which could include inclusive leadership programs or other training, employee resource groups (ERGs), department, office, or country specific initiatives.
- Perform research and benchmark best practices Develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies and programs that foster the company’s diversity and inclusion goals by researching practices for application at RGA.
- Partner with Talent and Organizational Development to create and/or acquire training programs that integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, to include program support for the Global Talent Accelerator Program, GROW professional development, and facilitation support for DEI training programs.
- Oversee the High School Internship Program, ensuring a valuable experience for participants and RGA managers. Facilitate weekly discussions with students, engage speakers and senior leaders; and work with community partners to implement a successful program.
- Act as a liaison with community partners (working the RGAs ESG/CSR team) to strengthen RGA’s DEI initiatives and encourage equity in surrounding communities..
- Assist in college and campus recruitment efforts to attract diverse talent.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 years HR, DEI or related professional experience
- Experience supporting and coordinating DEI projects, for example, diversity recruiting, student and/or community programs, educational training series, or employee resource group involvement
- Experience communicating with groups of all sizes
- Experience supporting DEI initiatives and/or projects under direct supervision
