IT Help Desk Technician (Contract/Seasonal)
Location: Tukwila, WA (onsite)
A Shift: Monday - Friday
Summary:
RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking a seasonal/temporary Help Desk Technician to join our Seattle (Tukwila) office. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues in a fast-paced production environment. This is a great opportunity for an IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related support, professionally representing the IT team.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware (laptops, desktops, printers) and software-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently; escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams as needed.
- Accurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in RPI's ticketing system.
- Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory issue resolution.
- Assist with IT-related projects as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.
- Adapt to shifting schedules with a 24-hour notice to cover either a B or C shift, if required.
Required Skills:
- Experience in IT support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, or equivalent training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform maintenance on computer systems with small components.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience providing customer service in a technical support environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS.
- Familiarity with standard office automation products.
- Experience using ticketing systems for IT support.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of a keyboard for data entry and troubleshooting.
- May be required to use a wave or scissor lift for equipment maintenance.
- Must be able to adapt to changing work environments in a fast-paced production setting.
