Substitute Teacher
The substitute teacher will support the teacher in helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God while the teacher is absent. The substitute will perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers. Their duties include taking attendance, explaining homework, and maintaining classroom cleanliness. Candidates need to be flexible in their availability.

Requirements*:
- Christian by profession and lifestyle.
- Received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and be a member in good standing of a local Church.
- Demonstrate spiritual and organizational leadership.
- Minimum of a High School diploma.
- Pleasant and professional presentation of self.
- Basic knowledge of G Suite programs and Microsoft products.
- Prior experience with children preferred
- This is a safety-sensitive position and employees may be required to undergo drug or alcohol testing.

Essential Functions:
- Supervision of a class, managing the classroom environment and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Teach classes according to the teachers lesson plan.
- Introducing students to the gift of Gods salvation, being a Christ like role model will help them to understand Gods love and His plan for their lives.
- Ensure that the classroom environment is Christian-based, nurturing, wholesome, and loving.
- Have knowledge of the schools standards and mission.
- Ensure classrooms are kept neat and orderly.
- Treat each child equally.
- Contribute to the safety of the children by keeping the children within vision at all times and counting them before, during and after transitions from one location to another.
- Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents or staff.
- Maintain regular and accurate records of attendance for each student.
- Know the procedures for dealing with emergencies in the classroom and school. Conduct required emergency safety drills in coordination with school leadership.
- Report to the appropriate individuals any campus safety, health and maintenance needs.
