Job Description
- Main Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and energetic kitchen environment that supports exceptional guest dining experiences.
- Support daily communications with the culinary team, dining room service managers, and sommelier on special requests, menus, guest dietary needs, and changes to culinary norms.
- Contribute to recipe development, menu planning, dish presentation, and special event coordination under the executive chef's guidance.
- Read and respond to guest special requests and dietary needs.
- Modify recipes/orders to meet customer needs and requests.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
- Ensure proper sanitation, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and storage areas.
- Cook food efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Additional Tasks:
- Assist in receiving and stocking supplies.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read and follow recipes.
- Proficiency in preparing, cooking, and plating food.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
- Frequent standing, occasional bending, reaching, and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
