Technical Sales Engineer- Louisiana
Candidate must reside in Louisiana
This is a Technical Sales Engineer position, which will work with the outside sales team and is primarily responsible for the technical support of combustion solutions. This position will be responsible for product and field support. The position requires ongoing communication with the team and customers to provide complete combustion solutions and exceed customer expectations.
Required Responsibilities
Ability to perform start up and tuning work on combustion systems
and fuel trains.
Ability to train other employees on the operation of combustion systems and fuel trains.
Must have the ability and knowledge to troubleshoot systems.
Diagnose malfunctions of equipment to determine cause and appropriate corrective action.
Competency to conduct a combustion analysis and make recommendations to optimize burner control systems.
Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with clients and company stakeholders to build trust.
Provide customers with information on product solutions, pricing, and availability.
Field support at customer sites.
Field and technical support of Relevant sales colleagues
Requirements
Requirements
2 or 4 year degree preferred; I&E / Mechanical
High school diploma or equivalent will be considered with acceptable level of field experience
Functional knowledge of all BCS, BMS,and CCS systems, DCS, PLC based or Honeywell 7800 and Fireye.
General PLC programming knowledge.
Understanding of NFPA, NEC and UL requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to interface with field and plant personnel, up to the executive level
Technical solution development experience.
Physical Requirements :
Regularly required to sit at computer, in the vehicle or in meetings
Must be able to drive a vehicle for extended travel times.
Heavy computer and phone usage daily
Regularly required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking, kneeling) and customer sites, varying by location.
Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Occasionally required to work in elevated areas.
Personal Protective Equipment :
Must comply with company safety and PPE requirements.
Must comply with customer safety and PPE requirements, as directed, varying by job-site location and task to be performed.
Varying with task, will be required to wear safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toe shoes, arc flash equipment (NFPA 70E or equivalent) and other safety equipment as defined by OSHA, Company, or other regulatory entity.
Work Environment :
Primarily in an office setting or vehicle.
Regular field service environment working at customers' job-sites. May be required to work overtime, weekends and on-call.
Occasionally exposed to work conditions in extreme temperatures and loud environments.
