Requirements Of The Director
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) is essential.
- Licensing: Must hold a P.E. License with at least a decade of experience in bridge or roadway design and associated transportation structures and facilities.
- Leadership Experience: Prior experience in managing or supervising within an engineering environment is advantageous.
- Client Relations: Experience in business and client development within the state and local civil engineering sector is preferred.
- Budget Management: Competence in preparing and managing project budgets is necessary.
- Proposal Development: Experience in drafting technical proposal responses is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with preparing roadway and structure plans for ODOT projects is important.
- Communication Skills: Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are needed.
- Software Knowledge: Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is required.
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license is necessary.
- Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills are required.
- Project Management: Previous experience in project management is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- 100% onsite, in-office work

- This position has a work schedule that is not strictly a traditional 8-5 workday and may include evening meetings and some conferences requiring travel and overnight stays.
