Floater Caregiver Position – Flexible Scheduling (Must Drive, 6 Days/Week, 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.)

Position Overview
- Floater Role & Responsibilities:
- Report to the office daily (or as needed) to receive assignments for missed or last-minute shifts.
- Fill in at various client homes when regularly scheduled caregivers are unavailable.
- Travel between client residences and the office, ensuring no client is left unattended.
- Provide a full range of non-medical home care services—personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders, and companionship.
- Schedule:
- Open Availability for six days each week
- Must be ready to work any shift(s) needed between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.
- Your day off will be arranged in advance, but flexibility is key to accommodate urgent needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care & Mobility Support
- Help clients with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Safely transfer or assist clients using mobility aids, as necessary.
- Light Housekeeping & Meal Prep
- Keep the home environment tidy by performing tasks like sweeping, dishwashing, and laundry.
- Prepare or assist with simple, nutritious meals while adhering to dietary preferences or restrictions.
- Medication Reminders
- Ensure clients follow their medication schedule correctly (no administering of medication required).
- Companionship & Emotional Support
- Engage clients in conversation, activities, or hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Offer reassurance and a friendly presence, especially during unexpected changes in routine.
- Communication & Reporting
- Stay in close contact with the office for new assignments and shift changes.
- Document daily notes regarding the client’s condition and report any concerns promptly.
Ideal Candidate
- Highly Flexible: Able to adapt on short notice, handling different clients and home environments each day.
- Dependable & Punctual: Committed to arriving on time for any shift, as clients may not be safely left alone.
- Open Availability (6 Days a Week): Capable of working any hours between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. on your assigned days.
- Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle: Essential for traveling to multiple client locations and the office.
- Respectful & Empathetic: Communicates politely with clients, families, and coworkers; comfortable assisting diverse clientele.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Able to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure, and adjust to rapidly changing schedules.
Prior caregiving or home care experience is helpful, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn, reliable, and truly passionate about supporting others.
