Cabinet Detailer/Estimator

Summary: Lenoir and surrounding areas: Boone, Banner Elk, Wilkesboro

The Field Cabinet Detailer supports installation projects in our cabinet and appliance departments by taking in-home measurements for the customers' new kitchen cabinet installation or appliance (wall ovens, microwaves, vanities, ranges, etc).

Detailors will interact with all our external customers in their home. In addition, the Detailer will perform Cabinet Check-In’s, which require unboxing and inspection of shipped kitchen cabinets to customer homes.

The Detailer’s primary responsibility is to provide precise measurements and hand drawings for the customer’s project and create a report that is submitted to our client. In addition to the duties described above they will also perform duties as they are delegated by the Field Detail Manager.

Essential Functions:

• The detailer will go to customers home and acquire all measurements and pictures for the customer's cabinet or appliance installation project.
• Produce detail reports from the information acquired during the customer visit.
• Perform 4 to 6 in-home details per day and complete accompanying reports.
• Perform Cabinet Check-In’s at customers' homes. Unbox shipped cabinets, examine them for manufacturer flaws and imperfections and produce reporting of needed re-orders.
• Utilize our internal project management systems to manage tasks, schedules, updates, and photos.
• Responsible for daily, local travel to customer sites in assigned company vehicle.

Criteria for Hire: You will go through 2 weeks of training

• Experience in construction, carpentry, or similar skilled trade
• Understanding how to read and interpret tape measurements (SAE), drawings and geometrical designs.
• Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) aptitude, inclination, and career interest
• Dependable and possess a professional appearance and attitude.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to pass national criminal background check
• Legally able to work in the US without sponsorship

Physical Demands:

• Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
• Requires lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms, attics, crawl spaces and climbing in and out of trucks or vans in tight spaces.
• Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong knowledge of standard computer systems and ability to adapt to new software
