POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Business Development
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Representative will work with the Sales Department and is responsible for managing a pipeline of existing non-fleet client accounts and policy renewals. This position is a rewarding and exciting long-term opportunity to work with a fast-paced sales organization and to grow a career within transportation insurance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Correspond with existing insurance customers and manage the sales renewal pipeline.
· Maintain records of current customers
· Follow Reliance Procedures for Business Development process regarding insurance coverage for clients.
· Use Reliance sales tools and CRM to manage renewal lifecycle.
· Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Bilingual or Multilingual
· Ability to obtain P&C license before starting.
· Strong prioritization and time management skills
· Strong “people skills” and a positive, can-do attitude is a must.
· Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional manner.
· Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be organized and logical, willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
· Strong computer skills with various software including Microsoft Office, E-Mail, and Internet
· Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with others.
