CLASSIFICATION: COMSEC Account Manager
GRADE: Exempt
LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL – On Site
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reporting to the Security Administrator (FSO), and working under general supervision, this position has primary responsibility for maintaining accountability of classified material; administering E-OMS COMSEC account and program; and performing other duties related to Industrial Security.
GENERAL DUTIES: This position's primary responsibility include administering/managing the E-OMS COMSEC program; Accountability of COMSEC and classified material; Create, receive and administer COMSEC keying material; Maintain, operate and account for Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) equipment; Prepare and conduct initial and annual training of COMSEC Responsible Officers (CROs); Conduct semiannual internal assessments/audits of COMSEC accounts; Schedule, participate and pass U.S. Air Force COMSEC audits, and resolve audit findings; Prepare CCI equipment for shipment and track items from dispatch to receipt; Monitor and approve requests for secure voice equipment; Evaluate customers COMSEC needs and make recommendations for best approach. Additional duties include preparing/processing visits and routine correspondences; Creating and maintaining files; Distribute COMSEC and security education, training and awareness material, and maintaining entry/access list. This position routinely requires the incumbent to exercise independent judgment associated with national security by properly overseeing/protecting COMSEC and classified information. This position has the authority to formulate, interpret and administer COMSEC policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a minimum of five years COMSEC experience, to include COMSEC program management and related industrial or military security, and a Top-Secret security clearance. The selected applicant will be required to attend and successful pass the U.S. Government COMSEC Management school - Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) course (if it has not already completed with proof of certificate). Incumbents must be extremely computer literate and familiar with COMSEC accountability and databases, to include other business software applications. Accuracy, accountability and organizational skills are very important in this position. The ability to handle sensitive data and employee information with discretion is essential.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires very little lifting or moving of heavy objects or materials. May require sitting for long periods of time.
