The Quality Assurance Coordinator will oversee the entire quality control process, from raw materials to finished goods. This involves creating and implementing thorough inspection protocols to assess materials and components during all stages of production. This also includes inspecting and then accepting or rejecting outsourced products. Regular inspections, functional tests, and performance evaluations will be conducted to ensure products align with internal specifications and customer requirements. Additionally, the Coordinator will establish standards for acceptable tolerances, document inspection results, and promptly address any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire quality control process, from raw materials to finished goods, including the creation and implementation of inspection protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections, functional tests, and performance evaluations to ensure products meet internal specifications and customer requirements.
- Work with Engineering to establish standards for acceptable tolerances, document inspection results, and address discrepancies promptly.
- Lead efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues using a Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) framework.
- Analyze root causes of defects, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, and track the implementation of corrective actions to ensure long-term effectiveness.
- Implement preventive measures, including updating standard operating procedures, introducing process controls, and training staff to avoid recurring problems.
- Compile and maintain detailed quality records, including inspection data and reports on quality metrics.
- Identify trends, measure progress against quality objectives, and use reports to communicate findings to management.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing processes and address design-related quality concerns.
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on best practices, inspection techniques, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Regularly review processes and identify optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency and product quality.
