Job Description
As a key member of the team, the Senior Revenue Accountant will perform various accounting and finance responsibilities related to revenue. This person will be hands on with all revenue-related accounting transactions and processes at ReliaQuest to ensure accurate reporting under US GAAP and adherence to all accounting policies and controls.
The everyday hustle :
- Perform ongoing accounting functions related to recording and recognizing revenue
- Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports and provide explanations for significant variances and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Partner with the Finance Team in forecasting revenue and cash inflows, including billings and collections
- Assist in developing revenue recognition policies and procedures
- Perform monthly close routines and assist with the management of the monthly close schedule
- Prepare revenue related journal entries and support
- Maintain various monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules and perform periodic account audits
- Compile documentation for the annual financial audits
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and provide solutions for enhancement
- Provide a high level of customer service and perform other duties as assigned
