Storage Engineer Brocade & NetApp Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer with expertise in Brocade SAN switches and NetApp storage solutions . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing implementing managing and troubleshooting storage area networks (SANs) and enterprise storage systems ensuring high availability performance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities :
- SAN Management : Configure monitor and manage Brocade SAN switches including zoning firmware upgrades and performance tuning.
- NetApp Storage Administration : Deploy configure and maintain NetApp storage systems (ONTAP AFF FAS etc.) including provisioning storage snapshots and replication.
- Performance Optimization : Monitor and analyze storage performance identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery : Develop and maintain data protection strategies using SnapMirror SnapVault and other replication technologies.
- Automation & Scripting : Use PowerShell Python or Ansible to automate storage operations and management tasks.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide L2 / L3 support for storagerelated issues perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Capacity Planning : Monitor storage utilization trends and plan for future growth ensuring costeffective storage solutions.
- Security & Compliance : Ensure storage systems meet security best practices and compliance requirements (HIPAA SOC ISO etc.).
- Collaboration : Work closely with infrastructure virtualization and application teams to optimize storage performance and integration.
