- Engage and ResolveReach out to residents, nursing facility staff, and financially responsible parties via phone, fax, email, or mail to discuss and resolve outstanding balances.
- Manage AccountsWork on aging accounts with a focus on resolving issues related to insurance coverage, claim rejections, and prescription dispensing.
- Communicate ClearlyUtilize established processes and tools to communicate past due amounts in a professional and effective manner.
- Process PaymentsHandle credit card payments and prepare/send collection letters.
- Ensure ConfidentialityAdhere to HIPAA and PHI guidelines to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
- Strategize with ManagementCollaborate with department management to develop and implement effective collection strategies.
- Stay InformedParticipate in staff meetings and educational activities to stay current with industry best practices.
- EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
- ExperienceAt least two years of experience in pharmacy or medical collections, with a solid understanding of billing rules and third-party operating procedures.
- CommunicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-SolvingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team PlayerAbility to work positively and productively with others.
