Salary range: $145, 000 - $153,000 annually
Schedule:Day Shift, Monday - Friday, with some after hours and weekend on-call availability.

In this critical leadership role, you’ll oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineers, maintenance professionals, and automation specialists working to optimize pharmacy performance through advanced technologies and continuous process improvement.
Automation Strategy & Optimization
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of automated pharmacy systems (e.g., robotics, medication dispensing and packaging technology).
- Evaluate and integrate new automation technologies that align with regulatory requirements and improve safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Collaborate across departments (IT, software, pharmacy operations) to ensure seamless system integration and performance.
- Direct engineering initiatives related to facility layout, system upgrades, and process innovation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute engineering project plans that support operational goals.
- Oversee a robust preventive and corrective maintenance program for all pharmacy equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure equipment uptime and regulatory compliance through proactive inspections and performance monitoring.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers, maintenance staff, and automation professionals.
- Foster a safety-first culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Ensure all engineering and automation activities comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, DEA, OSHA, USP, CMS).
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform regular audits to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources strategically across automation, engineering, and maintenance operations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring operational excellence and project execution.
- Serve as the point of contact for all automation and maintenance matters.
- Communicate project updates and operational plans clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Project Management Certification or Lean Six Sigma a plus.
- Advanced computer skills; experience with PLC systems or control system design is essential.
- 8–10 years of experience in automation, engineering, and maintenance, preferably in a healthcare, pharmacy, or manufacturing environment.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy automation systems and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership and team-building experience in a regulated environment.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead through change, manage priorities, and inspire high performance.
- Full-time role with up to 50% travel for site support and project assessments.
- On-call availability for critical system issues outside of business hours.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. and stand for long periods as needed.
