Position Overview
This role is perfect for an aspiring CMO, eager to drive impact across every facet of marketing at a fast-growing startup, starting with growth. In this role, you’ll help us bring our mission of helping families capture and preserve their stories to millions of families around the world. Reporting directly to our CEO & Co-Founder Charlie, you’ll lead customer acquisition and drive sustainable growth across all marketing channels. You’ll help shape our strategy, and then split time between managing a team of vendors/contractors and rolling up your own sleeves and executing yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with company goals, identify target audiences, and create effective positioning to drive growth and brand awareness.
- Growth & Acquisition: Spearhead user acquisition initiatives and develop scalable growth strategies across digital platforms, optimizing CAC and LTV metrics while identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities to accelerate company expansion.
- Brand Management: Oversee and help shape the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels while making strategic decisions based on company values and the competitive landscape.
- Product Marketing: Drive successful product adoption through effective go-to-market strategies, compelling positioning, and targeted campaigns that increase awareness and customer acquisition.
- Conversion Optimization: Lead CRO initiatives to improve customer journey and purchase pathways, conduct A/B testing, optimize landing pages, and refine checkout processes to increase conversion rates and average order value while reducing abandonment rates.
- Content Creation: Develop and execute a compelling content strategy across multiple formats, including video, blog posts, email marketing, and social media, to educate, inspire, and convert potential customers.
- Performance Analysis: Measure and analyze marketing metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, track ROI, and leverage data insights to optimize future marketing initiatives and spending.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, plus collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience, to ensure marketing initiatives align with product roadmaps and customer insights.
Experience
- 7-10 years of marketing experience, specifically in direct-to-consumer companies focused on growth.
- Proven track record working in early-stage companies (Seed to Series C), with close proximity to the founding team.
- Experience building and leading marketing teams in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and tactical execution.
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing strategies and tactics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience with digital acquisition channels and performance marketing.
- Strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited resources.
Location
We offer a hybrid work environment of three days per week spent in our Culver City office. If time spent white-boarding with colleagues seated around our 200-square-foot whiteboard doesn’t sound exciting to you, this probably isn’t the right role!

- Compensation package will be based purely on skills and experience and include an equity allocation with traditional vesting terms (1-year cliff, 4-year vesting)

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
