What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telehealth Volunteer Coordinator position at Remote Area Medical?
The Telehealth Volunteer Coordinator position is based out of Rockford, Tennessee. The Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Volunteer Coordinator and serves on the Operations Team. This position evaluates and coordinates volunteers based on effective volunteer systems thereby enabling the smooth execution of RAM’s general business operations. This position is also responsible for the following:
Primary Responsibilities
· Building and maintaining healthy relationships with direct supervisor and personnel within RAM and carrying out tasks as directed by Volunteer Manager.
· Building and maintaining strategic relationships with volunteers and partners outside RAM that would benefit the telehealth department and organizational objectives. Seeking out and evaluating potential individuals and organizations to determine suitability for service as volunteers and partners with the organization in order to further the organization’s operations.
· Provide information to compliance specialist to secure malpractice insurance requests for providers.
· Working with the telehealth coordinator with recruiting, mobilizing, and enlisting volunteers for clinic events; includes analyzing suitability and placement for both new and returning volunteers.
· Facilitating student group volunteers in accordance with RAM’s volunteer policies.
· Maintaining and updating all patient and volunteer registration computers/hardware.
· Becoming proficient in all telehealth processes.
· Communicating necessary clinic information such as lodging, food, hospitality, schedule, travel and any other logistic items to volunteers/staff prior to clinic events to ensure safe and efficient volunteer participation which is a critical element of RAM’s general business operation.
· Supervising patient and volunteer registration on site to carry out assignments as determined necessary by the Telehealth Team. Other service at clinic events as necessary.
· Recruit and train new volunteers to support RAM Telehealth operations.
· Creatively acknowledging and recognizing volunteer involvement to spur further involvement.
· Other duties as assigned by Volunteer Manager and/or Telehealth Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
· Managing all teleheath clinics in RAM Volunteer and Patient Systems.
· Providing updated information on clinics for all on and off line communication such as websites.
· Preparing volunteer reports and check professional licensure for volunteers. Reporting violations to Volunteer Manager.
· Fulfilling requests by pharmacies about prescribing practitioners.
Job Requirements
- Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Frequent non-standard workdays, work hours and overnight travel to clinic sites required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain a DOT medical card to drive RAM Telehealth RV type vehicles.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be proficient in verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills.
Pay: $58,656.00 per year
