What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) under the direction of the Visual Resources Practice Lead
Coordinate contributions from a diverse technical team, including GIS and simulations specialists
Conduct project site visits, requiring travel of up to 20% annually
Support planning and permitting for power generation and transmission projects
Engage in technical writing for assessments in support of permit applications
What is Required (Qualifications) :
3 to 5 years of experience producing or supporting the completion of VIAs
Strong writing, research, analysis, and reporting abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects while focusing on details
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Experience in power generation, electrical transmission, or utilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
Experience with VIAs required by the National Environmental Policy Act and state environmental reviews
Familiarity with federal agencies' assessment methods for visual effects
Experience with DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Knowledge of shadow flicker analyses for wind energy projects
