Position Overview: As an Accountant at Remote Solutions, you will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the finance team. You will collaborate with different departments to ensure proper financial management, assist in cost analysis, and support the monthly and year-end close processes.

Position Overview: As an Accountant at Remote Solutions, you will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the finance team. You will collaborate with different departments to ensure proper financial management, assist in cost analysis, and support the monthly and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial data, identifying trends and variances.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, including tracking depreciation, managing asset acquisitions and disposals
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory filings as needed.
- Maintain and update accounting records for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and production, to ensure financial processes align with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
- Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to management when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
