What You'll Do.
As Jackrabbit Technologies’ Engineering Manager, you will lead your teams of Developers to successfully deliver all software enhancements, fixes, and escalated support requests, focusing on throughput, usability, quality, and predictability. Once you have set up your team for success, you will spend about 75 percent managing and 25 percent of your time acting as Scrum coach. Striking the right balance between extensibility and velocity, you will maximize the business value of our code assets, treating complexity, fragility, and technical debt as the enemy. What You'll Do.

In addition, you will:
- Lead, hire, and develop Developer/Engineer team members.
- Partner with Product Manager to ideate, develop, and deploy innovative and high-value product solutions for clients with an emphasis on throughput, usability, quality, and predictability.
- Strong Agile and ScrumMaster experience and mindset
- Maximize Sprint success through hands-on coaching, guidance, and roadblock removal, while working on an agile team and always looking for ways to improve and gain efficiencies.
- Experience migrating legacy applications to new technologies and understanding of challenges entailed
- Experience with Product Led Growth and Growth Engineering principles, including data-driven development
- Ensure responsive handling of all escalated Support requests.
- Ensure adherence to coding, change management, source control, and DevOps standards.
- Contribute to best practices in our Engineering workflow, including design patterns, coding standards, security, automated testing, pair programming, code reviews, debugging, and DevOps.
- Leverage user feedback to drive product features, needs, usage/how to, and user experience.
You are passionate about coaching Developers/Engineers up to their full potential. As a leader, you elevate people to excel, and your collaborative and engaging style inspires your teams to deliver, time after time. In addition, you have:
- 5 years experience as a Development or Engineering Manager in a B2B or B2C software application development environment (SaaS preferred).
- 2 years experience developing products using the Microsoft technology stack.
- 5 years experience architecting web-based applications.
- 2 years experience with Agile and ScrumMaster principles
- Experience with source control tool such as Git, VSTS, or TFS.
- 2 years experience with an Agile project management tool such as Jira or VSTS.
- 4-year business or STEM degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis and identifying and applying meaningful metrics.
- Strong organization skills and detail-orientation.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal, written).
- Ability to multi-task, balance multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (Charlotte-based)/25% (non Charlotte-based).
