Position: Accounting Associate – Temporary Assignment (3-4 Months Minimum)
Reports to: Vice President, Accounting
Location: Initial Schedule: On-Site Training Tuesdays to Thursdays, Remote Flexibility Post-Training

Position Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented individual to provide temporary support with accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

Core Responsibilities

• Process invoices and purchase orders.
• Perform data entry into accounting software.
• Record financial and accounting transactions for the organization and its subsidiaries.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Organize and file accounting documents.
• Support other duties and projects as assigned by accounting management staff.

Required Education and Experience

• 2–5 years of direct accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Associate degree in accounting is a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Experience with MIP Fund Accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly nonprofit accounting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Availability to work in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
