Probate Paralegal - Remote Position (Full-Time or Part-Time)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join our team in Illinois. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with the option for full-time or part-time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate administration and estate planning
- Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- File probate forms and other necessary documents with the court
- Manage deadlines and maintain accurate case files
- Conduct legal research related to probate and estate matters
- Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, and court personnel
- Prepare estate inventories, accountings, and asset distributions
- Assist in the preparation of estate and trust tax returns
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in probate and estate planning
- Paralegal certificate or degree in a related field
- Strong knowledge of Illinois probate procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in legal research and writing5
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
- Familiarity with case management software (Clio), Slack and Microsoft Office Suite
