Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Public Transit Project Managers to lead the selection and implementation of cost-effective transportation systems that enhance operational efficiencies and protect our client’s investment. The role involves managing technical integration, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful deployment of public transit solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project management, transit technology, and system implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement cost-effective transit systems that meet operational needs.
- Lead the solution selection process and implementation for CAD/AVL, On-Demand, or Paratransit Software.
- Work closely with small and rural transit agencies to ensure customized, scalable solutions.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and risk management to ensure successful execution.
- Apply project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to streamline project delivery.
- Facilitate technical integration across systems, ensuring compatibility with GIS, database management, and other software tools.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams, providing clear progress updates and issue resolution.
- Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience managing projects within the transit or transportation industry, particularly in CAD/AVL, On-Demand, or Paratransit Software.
- Experience working with small, rural transit agencies is preferred.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency with project management tools.
- A solid technical background, including familiarity with GIS, database management, and software integration.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
- PMP certification or other relevant credentials are preferred.
- A detailed resume highlighting relevant experience and qualifications.
- Examples of past project successes, particularly in transit technology implementation.
- References from previous clients or employers.
