RemX Recruiting firm is pleased to represent a growing general construction contractor located within a reasonable commute from Athens, Sweetwater or Cleveland TN communities. This newly created Accounting Manager role will work in a small company (less than $10M revenues) that is adding new clients and expected to grow in 2025!
The owner is seeking a strong finance/accounting leader with experience overseeing all accounting & finance for a business. This person will oversee the team of two accounting clerks and provide hands-on support to them, with direct interaction to the owner and CPA firm.
We are seeking experience/traits such as:
- BS-Accounting
- CPA a plus but not required
- 10 years in public and/or private accounting
- Supervisory experience to lead/manage/grow a team
- Experience in bank relations
- Experience with insurance companies
- Hands-on to lead/step in as needed if team member absent
- Full cycle/strong GAAP knowledge
- Month-end close experience
- Financial reporting
- Strategic thinker
- Strong communicator as this role will work with the CPA firm as well
