Job Title: Property Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for assigned properties, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Conduct regular financial reviews of properties and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate tenant billing records, and oversee the collection of rent and other receivables.
• Generate financial reports for property management and stakeholders, focusing on key performance metrics.
• Assist in annual audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required documentation.
• Collaborate with property managers and other team members to optimize operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in property accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role, ideally within the real estate sector.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Yardi and AppFolio preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the luxury real estate market is a plus.
