CREDIT SPECIALIST

Join a top organization in Boston, MA as a Credit Specialist, where you'll work closely with the Credit Manager and Finance Department to help collect payments for past services. Your efforts will directly contribute to the organization’s profitability, and this role offers an exciting opportunity for a self-starter eager to take on a challenging credit / finance position with plenty of room to grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Build and maintain professional relationships with partners and clients to facilitate the credit and collections process.
Research client account history to address queries raised by leadership and clients.
Assist the Credit Manager in tracking delinquent accounts, including addressing and clearing collector alerts.
Ensure accurate data is provided for the preparation of credit reports for management.
Help prepare and send monthly reminder statements (Statements of Account) to clients.
Assist in preparing Quarterly (Business Unit) Reviews.
Other Duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
1-3 years of experience in a credit or collections function, in a services business.
Strong understanding of accounting and credit processes.
Proficient with software applications such as Aderant and Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining accuracy and reliability.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills, with the ability to engage positively with all levels within the company.
Able to take ownership of tasks and, when necessary, delegate work to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexible and adaptable to last-minute changes, with a willingness to work overtime as needed.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position located in Boston, reporting to the Senior Credit Manager.
