Oversee and manage all payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
Develop and implement payroll strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Lead payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations with HR and accounting software.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy related to benefits, leave policies, and compensation changes.
Conduct payroll audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers.
Stay up to date with industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to maintain payroll compliance and efficiency.
Prepare and present payroll reports, metrics, and analytics to executive leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8 years of payroll experience
- Extensive knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing multi-state or international payroll operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, SAP, or Peoplesoft).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
