A Community Outreach Coordinator in an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) in Baltimore, Maryland, is responsible for connecting the clinic with the community to enhance mental health services. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Outreach Strategies: Creating and implementing plans to engage individuals and organizations in the community, raising awareness about the clinic's services.
- Building Partnerships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote mental health initiatives.
- Organizing Events: Planning and coordinating community events, workshops, and seminars to educate the public about mental health issues and available resources.
- Providing Information: Disseminating information about the clinic's services, programs, and resources to the community through various channels.
- Assessing Community Needs: Identifying and evaluating the mental health needs of the community to inform program development and service delivery.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:
- Social Work
- Public Health
- Sociology
- Communication
- Nonprofit Management
- Psychology
Licensure/Certification:
- Certified SUD Counselor, LGPC, LMSW (preferred)
