POSITION OVERVIEW
The Commercial Lender will play a key role in supporting Renaissance’s efforts to provide lending products and services to local businesses and organizations. This individual will be responsible for commercial loan production, working as part of a collaborative team on lending, risk management, reporting, and relationship management. A successful candidate will have a strong background in banking, lending, and community development and will be comfortable working with a diverse clientele and partners to structure complex financing solutions for various projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Development : Identify, develop, and maintain a strong network of business relationships, including partner lenders, SBDCs, municipalities, and professional contacts, to generate new lending opportunities.
- Loan Underwriting : Underwrite and assess new account relationships, ensuring thorough credit analysis and sound financial structuring for borrowers.
- Client Support : Provide coaching and technical support for existing borrowers and potential clients, particularly entrepreneurs and small businesses.
- Community Outreach : Act as the company’s representative at community and industry events across the states. This includes presenting Renaissance’s loan products and services to groups and networking to expand the organization’s reach.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with the lending team to meet production goals and maintain a high standard of reporting and risk management.
- Administrative Tasks : Ensure all job functions comply with company policies and procedures. Complete all required training and attend relevant meetings.
