Job Description
The Complex Director of Finance will provide leadership in the financial area of the hotels, focusing on profitability and maintaining accurate financial reporting. This role will oversee two large Marriott assets with nearly 1,400 rooms and over $100M in annual revenue.
Main Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and communicate cash flow-related issues, including timely preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate recording according to Highgate Hotels guidelines.
- Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis, investigating and critiquing variances to budget or prior year.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure hotels' compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and operational taxes.
- Analyze financial data and operations to assist management in maintaining financial objectives.
- Timely review and approval of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.
- Prior Control or Director of Finance experience at a premium-branded Hotel.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
Requirements
- Must supervise 2 or more employees.
- Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing, as well as hotel-specific systems.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
