Key Components Of The Role Will Include
- Develop and lead the execution of the engineering operating strategy aligned with PCH's business goals by championing brand initiatives, ensuring their implementation, and communicating follow-up actions to the engineering team.
- Foster ongoing communication in all areas of engineering, consistently conveying clear departmental goals to produce desired results.
- Stay updated on new engineering products and trends in the market and introduce innovative ideas to the leadership team to keep the property competitive.
- Collaborate with direct reports to review in-house business and troubleshoot potential challenges and conflicts.
- Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and a ten-year asset protection plan, overseeing their execution.
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
- Develop project plans for renovations and new construction needs by contacting contractors for bids and supervising construction to ensure the timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
- Set goals and expectations for direct reports and conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports according to SOPs.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget by reviewing financial reports and statements to determine departmental performance against the budget.
