POSITION TITLE: Catering Sales Manager, Hilton Garden Inn Arvada Denver
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales for the property, General Manager for the property, Vice President of Sales of Renascent Hospitality
POSITION SUMMARY:
Should assist in selling guest rooms, catering services and banquet facilities as directed by the Director of Sales. Also provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, collecting and processing sensitive data, resolving guest issues and also perform clerical functions.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for booking and soliciting sales and catering functions including rooms only, catering only and rooms plus catering groups.
· Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests
· Responsible for soliciting new accounts, and entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts
· Drive business development initiatives to expand market presence
· Meet and greet clients, conduct hotel site tours, and promote facilities and services
· Develop client menus, compile contracts, and execute all functions related to catering events
· Work closely with the Food & Beverage department to ensure all aspects of event are accurately and professionally executed
· Conduct weekly BEO and group resume meetings with the management team
· Effectively communicate any changes or last minute group needs
· Supervise and attend the overall set-up and implementation of events and meetings
· Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts
· Prepare and present weekly and monthly catering/sales reports
· Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
· Work closely with Director of Sales
· Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience:
· Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as a Sales Manager or Catering Sales Manager
· Strong background in catering sales, hotel sales, food and beverage operations, outbound sales
· Demonstrated success in driving business development and achieving revenue targets
· Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
· Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving results
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hotel Sales Manager Experience: 1 year (Hilton Preferred)
Delphi/CRM Experience: 1 year
