We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Equipment Manager located in near Lake Charles, LA
General Description:
The Equipment Manager reports to the Indirects Service Manager and leads the safe, efficient and effective execution of all job specific duties
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling and budgeting for the maximized utilization equipment fleet.
- Forecast equipment and fuel usage based on project requirements and timelines
- Day-to-day and long-term fleet related issues focused on improved equipment reliability
- Track planned vs actual equipment numbers on site based on the forecasted equipment plan.
- Track and review equipment usage on site based on actual working hours vs idle hrs.
- Review and maintain all pre-inspection logs of onsite equipment
- Monitor and track fuel consumption on site, as well as forecast project fuel consumption throughout each phase of the job.
- General equipment coordination (i.e heavy lift, heavy crane movement) between all site area Directors and contractors.
- Monitor equipment down time and repair time.
- Oversea the maintenance, inventory, and calibration of tools
- Oversea tools rooms (ie. Tool room attendants, tracking tools, tool maintenance) during the project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Construction Management) or commensurate work experience
- 5 years’ experience in construction required
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
