Summary
We are seeking a Behavior Technician to join our team at Renew Residential Services. This role is vital in providing support and intervention strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in individual treatment plans.
- Monitor and document client progress, including vital signs and behavioral changes.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals to develop effective treatment approaches.
- Utilize person-first language and trauma-informed care practices in all interactions.
- Assist clients in developing skills for daily living and social interactions.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
