Summary
As a Behavior Technician at Renew Residential Services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This position involves implementing behavior management plans and providing compassionate care to help our clients achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior support plans under the guidance of a licensed professional.
- Assist clients in daily living activities while promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Monitor client progress and document behavioral changes accurately.
- Provide crisis intervention and management as needed to ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment strategies.
- Educate clients and families about behavior management techniques and resources.
Requirements
- Experience in behavioral health or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and person-first language is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
