Job Summary:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Clinical Operations is a key executive leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all clinical operations related to wound care services in Nursing Homes. This role ensures the highest standards of patient care, clinical excellence, operational and regulatory compliance while driving strategic initiatives to enhance efficiencies, innovations, and quality outcomes. The SVP of Clinical collaborates closely with other senior executives, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to achieve the organization's mission and goals. The SVP of Clinical Operations reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and direction for all clinical documentation and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
- Leads and mentors provider and clinical leadership teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partners with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives, including new service lines, clinical innovations, and expansion efforts.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Drives initiatives to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiencies, and overall healthcare delivery models.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize resource allocation and budgeting for clinical departments.
- Engages with key stakeholders, including physicians/ providers, regulatory bodies, and community partners.
- Monitors industry trends and emerging best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of clinical innovation.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in medicine (MD, DO, PA, NP, or equivalent preferred).
- Board certification or licensure in Wound Care.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations and healthcare management.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing clinical budgets.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic clinical initiatives.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in change management, process improvement, and technology integration in clinical settings.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including physicians, providers. administrators, and policymakers.
Work Environment:
- This hybrid role, including office, remote, onsite visits to nursing homes and corporate office and conferences, operates in a fast-paced healthcare environment with executive-level responsibilities
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as needed to visit provider’s onsite in client facilities, engage with clinical teams and clients, and oversee clinical and operational strategies.
