About the Role
The Sales Coordinator works under direction of the VP of Sales and Engineering to intake customer inquiries and provide support to the sales team. They are the first point of contact for prospective customers looking for information about PV systems; they’ll field new customer inquiries, schedule customer consultations with senior sales staff, and perform behind-the-scenes system design and lead processing. The Sales Coordinator role is an ideal position for ambitious candidates looking to start their career in the solar industry.
The Sales Coordinator will be provided a combination of industry standard and in-house training in PV system design basics and gain familiarity with solar design software utilized by RES. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for qualifying incoming leads and compiling relevant customer data in order setting the stage for senior sales team members to efficiently address customer needs. They must gain a strong understanding of RES products and services and work closely with senior sales team members to ensure high quality leads are being responded to in a timely and professional manner, upholding RES standard for high-quality customer service.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with a strong work ethic and computer literacy. Experience in customer service, scheduling, and marketing/sales is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead intake
- Answer incoming sales phone calls, emails and web inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Qualify and prioritize incoming leads
- Input customer information into CRM platform (Insightly)
- Schedule consultations between customers and senior project managers
- Preliminary System design
- Create new customer folder (Dropbox)
- Compile relevant customer, project, and site information
- Stage PV system design software by drawing roof layouts and downloading site-specific solar resource data
- Customer relationship / project management
- Set expectations with customers
- Address high-level customer questions about RES products and services
- Communicate customer needs to Project Managers
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree, or relevant work experience preferred
- 1 - 2 years experience in a customer-facing role
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy

- Familiarity with business principles & practices
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Customer service experience
- Experience using a CRM software
- Previous experience working in the renewable energy industry
