As a trusted resource, you’ll ensure compliance with employment laws, manage offboarding processes, and assist in the development of HR policies. Key Responsibilities
Employee Services:
- Respond to employee inquiries, provide assistance based on company policies, and assist management and third parties with payroll administration.
- Provide support on pre-employment processes, orientation, and onboarding for new hires. Create an informative and easy onboarding process for employees across the business.
- Identify and own opportunities to create an engaging culture, bringing charisma and enthusiasm to develop in office events and helping to recognize our employees.
- Be the trusted resource for employee questions about benefits (eligibility, usage, documentation, etc) and help administer when needed. Partner with leadership and third party to enhance benefits as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and ensure organizational compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Lead the offboarding process, including exit interviews and reviewing feedback, initiating system access changes and equipment collection, and following up with documentation as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies, updating employee handbooks, and performing other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or another related field
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in HR as a Generalist or closely related role
- Strong verbal, written, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Strong enthusiasm for Employee Experience projects, with proven examples of successful projects and initiatives
- Significant experience with employee engagement and culture activities with a remote work force is a strong plus
- Experience working in HRIS platforms required, experience with ATS platforms preferred
- Strong skill set in Microsoft Suite systems including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to create and manipulate (i.e. Create formulas, filters, pivot tables) spreadsheets is a plus
- Experience with staffing, recruiting, and onboarding processes
- Familiarity with HR best practices and basic employment laws
- Proficiency with terms and concepts of common benefits offerings including Medical Insurance, HSAs, Short- and Long-term Disability, etc.
- Experience coaching / counseling across levels and functions
- Tact, confidentiality, diplomacy, and ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience successfully managing projects and programs
- Strong team work skills with experience collaborating with cross functional team.
- The position is based at Renewance HQ (321 W. Lake St Elmhurst, IL 60126)
- Occasional travel to customer project sites and Renewance facilities is expected.
