What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at RENK?
Position Summary: Position that falls within a collective bargaining agreement that performs and produces quality parts for various customer requirements at our location in Muskegon Michigan.
Essential Job Functions:
Under guidance of the department supervisor, execute the following:
Assemble and disassemble military diesel engines and transmissions, and sub-components
Follow documented process books for customer specific assembly
Read and comprehend instructions following established procedures
Assemble parts according to processes provided in established procedures
Perform required pressure tests on parts to ensure quality standards are met
Use hand gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators and Go NoGo gauges
Perform and maintain On the Job Training (OJT) requirements
Any and all other duties as assigned by management
Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of Assembly experience Must be able to read orders and work instructions Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings Must have mechanical skills Must have mathematical skills Must be able to lift and bend up to and including 50 lbs. Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance Preferred Additional Skills: Material Handling experience preferred 2 years Machining experience preferred
