Description

Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing processes including but not limited to tooling & raw material selection & fixture design for multi-axis CNC machines (incl. mills and mill-turn type machines) with minimal supervision.
- Develop CNC programs in CAM Software for multi-axis CNC machines with minimal supervision.
- Own responsibility for meeting and maintaining quality and lead-time requirements for several components at once.
- Produce detailed setup documentation within ProShop ERP.
- Conduct post-program prove out for error checking and run time reduction.
- Identify improvement opportunities in programs & processes.
- Troubleshoot machine issues to maximize machine utilization while mitigating dimensional issues.
- Increase process reliability with the use of tool breakage detection, probing, macro programming, and other tactics.
- Provide direction to entry-level CNC programmers when needed.
- Consistently improve one’s own knowledge and skills.
