Hours: On-Call, we will work with you based on your availability.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Christian Preschool Substitute Teacher to join our team. This is an as-needed position right now, but there will be an opportunity for regular hours beginning in June for our Summer Program - and possibly continuing into the Fall for the start of the school year. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and have a heart for working with young children in a faith-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for preschool-aged children.
- Follow the lesson plans and curriculum provided by the lead teacher.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, including playtime, learning sessions, snack time, and more.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Maintain positive and supportive communication with parents and staff.
- Foster a Christ-centered atmosphere and teach biblical values through activities and interactions.
Qualifications:
- Must meet state requirements for preschool teachers.
- Background check, fingerprinting, Negative TB test, and NV Registry membership required.
- NV Registry membership requires 24 hours of annual training to maintain certification.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting.
- CDA, Associates Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine love for children and a desire to help them grow both academically and spiritually.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to various classroom environments.
Additional Information:
- Pay Rate: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Opportunity for Regular Hours: Starting in June for our Summer Program with potential continuation into the Fall for the start of school.
- Training Requirements: Must complete 24 hours of annual training through NV Registry to maintain certification.
