Job Purpose And Objectives

Ensure enforcement of the Reno County Sanitation Code through the provision of education, inspection and technical assistance services. Conduct inspection of: water wells, wastewater, water borne illness and sanitary complaints.

Position Requirements

• B.S. degree in environmental related field preferred.
• Registration as a Kansas environmental health sanitarian desired.
• Computer literate.
• Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements pertinent to the position.
  
  

Certifications / Licenses

• Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
• CPR training preferred.
• Maintain Registered Sanitarian CEU’s, as required.
• Participate in 2 Continuing Educational Opportunities annually in the area of onsite wastewater, wells, nuisance complaints and/or job specific training.
