Job Purpose and Objectives:
Ensure enforcement of the Reno County Sanitation Code through the provision of education, inspection and technical assistance services. Conduct inspection of: water wells, wastewater, water borne illness and sanitary complaints.
Position Requirements and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Position Requirements:
- B.S. degree in environmental related field preferred.
- Registration as a Kansas environmental health sanitarian desired.
- Computer literate.
- Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements pertinent to the position.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
- CPR training preferred.
- Maintain Registered Sanitarian CEU’s, as required.
- Participate in 2 Continuing Educational Opportunities annually in the area of onsite wastewater, wells, nuisance complaints and/or job specific training.
