Job Title: Landscaping Maintenance Laborer

Classification: Seasonal - Full Time, Hourly

Reno Green Landscaping Inc. is seeking a Landscaping Maintenance Laborer to work in our maintenance department. We are looking for a strong candidate that is passionate about working for a fast-paced, award winning, and growing company that is privately owned & operated. Overall Purpose:

The Landscaping Maintenance Laborer will be responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building by using hand, power tools, or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, pulling weeds, and sprinkler maintenance. This position will also work in crews of 2 or more people, so collaboration and good communication is vital.

Duties:

• Clean facilities or sites.
• Dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Plant greenery to improve landscape appearance.
• Remove snow.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers.
• Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds.
• Attach wires from planted trees to support stakes.
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
• Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Use a sprayer backpack to apply pesticides.
• Show other coworkers, if they have the necessary experience, how to perform their jobs safely.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• We prefer someone with prior experience, but we are also willing to train.
• A valid and clean NV drivers license is a plus, but not necessary.
• An OSHA card is a plus, but no necessary.
