What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Ledger Accountant position at RENO-SPARKS INDIAN COLONY?
Duties:
- Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and prepares necessary correcting entries; examines supporting documentation to establish proper authorization and conformance with agreements, contracts, tribal and applicable federal regulations;
- Prepares and maintains enterprise control and subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts; prepares trial balance and financial reports;
- Prepares journal entries and periodic reconciliation of general ledger, journal, subsidiary accounts and bank statements;
- Compiles and prepares financial statements, general and subsidiary ledgers and supporting schedules; Assists in maintaining daily cash balances;
- Maintains enterprise expenditures and budgetary control accounts;
- Reviews and records daily sales activities of the retail enterprises;
- Maintains and updates records on enterprise assets, including depreciation entries and reconciling ledgers to assets inventories;
- Performs cost and rate studies and analyzes cost factors;
- Assists with field audits on an assigned basis;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.80 - $32.96 per hour
