What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at RENO-SPARKS INDIAN COLONY?
Position Summary:
This position will perform all duties consistent with a receptionist. Those duties to include clerical functions such as filing, receptionist duties, typing and other related functions.
Duties:
- Serves as liaison between the public and RSIC staff.
- Answer telephones, directing or referring to appropriate resources. Answer routine questions, greet and direct visitors. Monitor sign in sheet.
- Maintain security of lobby area.
- Maintain schedule for conference room.
- Receive and route telephone calls and take messages for staff.
- Stamp incoming/outgoing mail and distribute interoffice mail. May require lifting and moving a heavy mail crate.
- Operate office machines, such as computer, fax, shredder and copy machine. Add paper to the copier and troubleshoot as needed. Ability to lift and load boxes of copier paper weighing 20 pounds.
- Copy reports, memos and assist with project mail outs and newsletter.
- File various correspondence and records in accordance with Reno-Sparks Indian Colony
- Records Management System. Maintain electronic documents or records.
- Maintain and stock office supplies, maintain security of office keys.
- Maintain the Community Board in lobby/ Smart TV in the lobby with current information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school, or a G.E.D, or pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
- Prefer computer literacy using a word processing system preferably Microsoft Office.
- Prefer knowledge of receptionist procedures, and have the ability to operate office machines.
- Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate good judgment, organizational skills, and initiative to work independently.
- Possession of a valid Nevada State driver’s license is required.
- Indian Preference will apply.
