What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Coordinator position at Renown Health?
Position Purpose
This position serves as a primary case manager/patient support specialist for the First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program. The position actively coordinates patient cases, assesses/determines needs and supports clinicians serving the clients.
Nature and Scope
This position works in conjunction with other clinicians assigned to the FEP program to identify appropriate services for existing clients and those not accepted; participate in team meetings and treatment planning sessions; coordinate with insurance companies; take afterhours calls from clients when assigned as needed; and establish community relationships for robust outbound service options.
This position is expected to travel at least 50% of the time dependent on client and referral needs. All other work will occur at the main clinical office. 10% of travel will require transport of clients to and from appointments and other supplemental support such as housing or community resources.
This position is expected to travel to other areas within Nevada for professional training as needed.
This position will work with clients of all ages that have experienced psychosis or other mental health disorders.
This position does not provide patient care.

Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related community health science field. Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
Must have at least two years of experience in a mental health outpatient or inpatient setting.
License(s):
Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
