ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will work on monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company and oversee the financial department (AP, AR & Payroll), as well as ad-hoc projects as assigned. The position includes both management of team and hands-on work.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Banking : facilitate treasury management, manage sweep account, calculate borrowing base, bank reconciliations, etc.
• Create new customer files (run credit reports, recommend credit limit and terms, enter new customer into system and process changes)
• Review and approve expense reports and supply requisitions and non-inventory purchase orders
• Prepare commission reports
• Balance sheet monthly reconciliation (Reconcile sub accounts; post and update all monthly journal entries), monthly closing, prepare financials
• Assist with financial statement audit, ESOP audit, bank collateral audit, and Worker’s Comp audit, Payroll / HR : review and approve weekly payroll check run, track PTO, review and / or prepare payroll tax returns, benefit administration and reporting, etc.
• Insurance : manage renewals, claims
• Handle majority of company registrations, license renewals, etc.
• Review and / or prepare non-income tax returns : payroll, property tax, sales & use tax, etc.
• Handle or assist with non-operational audits
• Principal company point of contact for many of these functions, plus IT
• Ad-hoc projects as assigned
