Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting and be proficient in accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software
• Assist in technical accounting tasks and provide insights on financial concepts
• Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments to vendors
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial concepts
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
